A little about me
My name is Steven Wu I am a full time freelance web designer and developer based in Middlesex London. I am the co-founder of R & W Media eCommerce Agency. I studied Multimedia Technology Design at Brunel University. I started out as a web designer before moving into web development. I always had a passion and energy for designing and developing websites. Being able to take a brief and turning it into an engaging website that help client’s achieve their desired goal gives me great joy. I pride in creating useable, functional and aesthetically pleasing websites.
My primary focus is in eCommerce development with the leading enterprise eCommerce platform Magento. I have worked with Magento for over 4 years and in the eCommerce market for over 6 years. I have strong business mind, which is why I can relate to a lot of businesses who try to branch into the online market and help them succeed. I have designed and developed Magento themes, custom extensions, external service integration and custom functionality.
For content driven websites that require a robust and user friendly CMS, I work solely with Wordpress. Wordpress is a fantastic open source community software. I just love working with it. The API is so easy to pick and work with. I regularly design and develop bespoke Wordpress themes for many of my clients. Not having to explain or thorough train clients using Wordpress is always a relief. Wordpress is so easy to pick up for clients. I have used Wordpress to develop small and large websites. I profile in Wordpress consultation, plugin development and building custom functionality.
In the past I have worked for large high profile clients including BT, HSBC, Natwest, HTC, Cisco, Hitachi, Panasonic, Mizuno Golf Clubs, TNT Post and Regus.
Besides working with clients closely in web development projects, I thoroughly enjoy writing. I have written for some newsstand magazines, including .net the leading web designer magazine in Europe, as well as writing for some well known online publications.
